Bk1 Ch5: Perspective wtss1-008

Episode 8; Chapter 5, Bk 1 Covert Abuse and the Art of Discernment from the Where There’s Smoke Series.

Written and narrated by Demian Yumei of KeepingtheDream.com

Perspectives of Demian Yumei looking at the behavior of covert abuse more than the labels we ascribe to it, the power and limitation of choice when it comes to healing, the phenomenon of waiting for permission to make a move and the importance of using what we learn about covert abuse for our own self-knowledge.

It’s wonderful to not only have this first episode of 2018, it feels great to be creating now in my new home! This episode addresses my approach to the study of covert abuse and my perspective on healing that is available on choice, as well as the importance of focusing on behavior and not the labels we like to assign to people. What may be the most important aspect of this episode is my discussion of something so many targets of abuse seem to go through, and that is to let the abuser decide whether a relationship hangs in there or ends. Finally, I talk about self-knowledge, which is really synonymous with self-empowerment.
