A positive experience
Singing at the Robert Matthews Community Day/Memorial Race on August 11th was a positive experience. I just wish there were more people there to have shared in the moment. But this was the first year, and I am hopeful that more will come as the word gets out.
The Victims Assistance Center in York, PA organized the event. They are truly a remarkable group of people. When it’s so easy to become discouraged and cynical in a world that is filled with tragedy and unfairness, they are a testament to the human spirit. Instead of giving in to despair, they just keep going on shining their light and helping others with their compassion and knowledge.
I think Robert would have been proud.
