I will be singing two songs tomorrow at the Victims Rights March and Candlelight Vigil, April 25, 2006, beginning at 7:00 p.m. We will start at the Colonial Courthouse, West Market and Pershing Street, York PA and march either to Cherry Lane, or more likely in the case of rain, to Trinity UCC on Market street.
Usually, when I sing, I sing as an artist who has a story to share in song, a personal story that I mix with other stories and infused with hope and healing. Tomorrow evening, I will be bringing that same sense of hope, but this time I will go not as an artist who shares, but as an incest survivor who creates.
It’s different…but it’s what I what I want to do, and why I sing in the first place.

Hope everyone is doing well. The day after Christmas I kind of crashed. Christmas was really good, but the two weeks leading up to it with rehearsals, performances and preparation with my “day job” thrown in there was just a bit much. So I’m a bit under the weather right now, dealing with a cold.
Tomorrow, I get my precious nephew and daughter. We’ll be welcoming in the new year together.
I’ll be setting up my little recording space to start creating podcasts on my own by next week, so this should be a fun and creative way to start off 2006.
I’ll be talking to you again soon.
Much love,
Demian,
~DreamSinger

I can’t believe it’s December already!
This month is proving to be busy already. Just the other night, I actually finished a major editing phase of my manuscript on relational aggression, “Where There’s Smoke”. Dionna is getting her graphic for the cover ready, and I’m now taking a good look at the typesetting of the book, to make sure it’s consistent.
Hopefully, I’ll be ready to convert it to a pdf file by the end of next week…probably a few days after I return from the conference in Washington, D.C.
December 4th, Sunday, DreamSinger will be performing at a nursing home. (This was postponed to December 21)
December 9th and 10th, I’ll be attending the National Association for Education of Young Children annual conference in Washington, D.C. for a book signing with my publisher, Illumination Art.
December 17th, 11:00 A.M. ,Borders, Eask York, PA across from the Galleria Mall, I’ll be doing a reading of “Little Yellow Pear Tomatoes and a book signing. I’ll also be performing DreamSinger’s new song by the same name, based on the book.
December 18th, 10:30 A.M., DreamSinger will participating in the Christmas Service at Unity Palmyra, 10:30 A.M.
Hope to see you at one of these public performances. DreamSinger is starting to line more things up in the upcoming year, and I’ve also decided to commit myself to doing a weekly podcast starting in January.
As you go through this very busy season, try to remember to slow down and remind yourself of what’s important. Time slips by so quickly. It’s good to savor each moment, as the precious gift it is.
Many blessings,
Demian,

Well, I’ve been a bit remiss in posting this week here, however, I did make two posts on my relational aggression blog.
I’ve been busy homeschooling my youngest, and trying to get in some writing time to finish my manuscript, “Where There’s Smoke” on the topic of relational aggression. Like all my “DreamSinger” stuff, the focus is on the healing journey, its steps and stages of recovering one’s power after suffering the assaults of this type of manipulative bullying.
Like every other project, I do just about everything from scratch. So while I’m editing my manuscript, I’m also learning about getting the manuscript ready, not only in ebook format but for commercial printing.
I have to say that technologically, I’m learning more about these matters than I ever could have anticipated, and without a doubt, would have been enough to scare me off had I even had a clue!
But when you really love something, your drive and passion will push you past your fears, and even the technologically challenged can find themselves emersed in a strange and wonderful new world…all for the sake of sharing their beloved creative projects with others.
And what may initially appear to be an obstacle, actually becomes another wonderful opportunity to stretch and reach beyond your limitations!
Keeping the Dream
Demian,
