Terms of Use & Disclaimer

1: This blog is a consolidation of four blogs: Keeping the Dream, Miyasan’s Daughter, Covert Abuse and DreamSinger. All the relevant posts from those blogs have been imported into this one.  Please read the Copyright & Permissions Page.

This blog is collection of writings, resources and music. Much of it is my original work including but not limited to the manuscript I am working on concerning covert abuse.

2: This blog is not an advice column. In no way is anything here — author’s posts or members’ comments — construed to be taken as legal, medical or psychological advice or counsel.

Please seek appropriate help from licensed experts if need be for those needs. If you feel in immediate danger either from another or yourself, please call 911, crisis intervention or a shelter in your area.

3: You are solely responsible for choosing to follow or not follow any suggestions or information given on this site or referred to in posts/comments. If I share links, I cannot be responsible for the content on other sites. For the content on this site, I will do my best to make sure posts and comments adhere to the principles of truthfulness, honesty, respect and empathy to the best of my ability. However, I cannot vouch for the veracity of others, most of whom will be anonymous registered members.

4: Be safe, be anonymous. Unless you are already a published author, known expert or public personality dealing with the topics of this blog, consider remaining anonymous when they comment, especially if you desire to share personal aspects about your life. This is for your own safety and the privacy of the people in your life. In using LiveFyre for comments software, you are given the option of signing in to comment through your FaceBook profile, however, you can, also, comment as an anonymous guest. Be mindful of your choice.

5: Be respectful. Honor the privacy of other people. Do not refer to others by their real names or post information that will invade their privacy or post any information that is false, defamatory or inaccurate.

6: Be civil/be fair/be legal. In commenting on this blog, please, follow the rules of civility and obey all copyright laws. Follow the universal Golden Rule. Posts/comments that are abusive, vulgar, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually gratuitous, threatening or otherwise in violation of any International or United States Federal law are not allowed and will be deleted. I have a license in all content posted in the site. It will be my decision to delete comments that violate the terms of service, however, I will not be compelled to modify or delete posts. I will, also, cooperate with requesting authorities in the event of any federal criminal behavior and intellectual property infringements.

7: Be gracious As a manuscript-in-progress blog, by commenting you are choosing to allow me to use any or all parts of your comment(s) for publication of this blog in book form, and/or any future publication in any other format. I will NOT take credit for your words. If used, I will quote your words and/or ideas, and attribute credit to you either specially by your registered member’s name or in a more general reference. You understand you will receive no remuneration for this use of your comments.

8: Spam, flooding, advertisements, chain letters, and other such postings are not allowed. Depending on the circumstances, one or several violations of Rules 5 or 7 could result in getting banned. (Please note that your IP address is recorded, in the event you need to be banned (not likely, right?) or it becomes necessary to contact your ISP. This will only happen in the event of a major violation of this agreement.)

9: Usernames and passwords. You have the ability, as you register, to choose your username. Please keep the name appropriate, and in most cases, anonymous. (see Rule #3) You agree to never give your password out to another person for your protection. You also agree to NEVER use another person’s account for any reason. I, also, recommend you use a complex and unique password for your account, to prevent account theft.

Also, note that the software places a cookie, a text file containing bits of information (such as your username and password), in your browser’s cache. This is ONLY used to keep you logged in/out. The software does not collect or send any other form of information to your computer.

10: By registering and/or participating by comment, you signify that you understand and agree to comply with the above conditions.

I think that’s it.

Whew! Now, that wasn’t so hard was it?
Now that’s out of the way, I’m looking forward to meeting you on the blog!
