I spent my birthday with the ones I love the most, my children, my grandson.
In the previous post, I wrote that I dreamt of my son, who was coming home from the military, but I wasn’t sure exactly when. I had dreamt that I went to answer the door, and there he stood.
That evening, at my daughter’s house, with my grandson in my arms, the doorbell rang. I went to the door, and standing there, was my son with that beautiful grin and mischievious eyes! I knew that he had actually arrived earlier in the day, but after a long 18 hour drive, he was exhausted, and needed to sleep, so in his phone call to me, he told me he’d see me tomorrow.
Now, there he was, not asleep at all, but giving me the most wonderful birthday present of all. My desire to spend the day with all my children came true.
I’ve been doing a lot of thinking in these past few days. Taking a look at Keeping the Dream, ascertaining what’s important to me, where I want to go from here. I’m not sure yet…but that’s okay.
For the first time in my life, I can feel the earth under my feet.
