Sweltering heat
Stifling
Labored breathing
Pressure mounting
in my head
in the skies
Until exploding
like the pounding
in my temples
Thunder crashing
Winds hurling
temperatures
head over heels
downward
Swaying trees
sweeping the skies
Sounds like the sea
soothing to my soul
Temporary reprieve
from the heat wave
Relief will come
if we survive the storm
